Founded in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal, a Rajput ruler, Jaisalmer quickly rose to prominence as a strategic trading center along the ancient camel trade routes between India and Central Asia. The crown jewel is the Jaisalmer Fort, also known as Sonar Quila (Golden Fort), one of the few “living forts” in the world—still home to thousands of people.

Sempre molto disponibile e gentile! Ci ha anche aiutato con la prenotazione di hotel, safari a Ranthambor e la disperata ricerca di una banca dove prelevare!! A Jaipur ci ha invitato a casa sua a mangiare e fatto conoscere la sua meravigliosa famiglia (sua moglie cucina benissimo!!).
